Our Story
What began as one woman’s dream has grown into a thriving organization, led by a passionate team including Co-Founder Andy Monheit and a dedicated group of local leaders. We are proof that even in the most rural communities, big change is possible.
Founded by Ninsiima Nuliat, who personally overcame lack of access to education, Nickie Foundation is rooted in compassion and lived experience. Our foundation exists to serve vulnerable children, women, and youth in Uganda through holistic, sustainable, and inclusive programs.

Nickie Community Empowerment and Peace Foundation Uganda is passionately committed to transforming and empowering children, women, and youth through providing educational resources, basic needs, emotional support, counseling, and ensuring sustainability through long-term skills and support initiatives.

Our Objectives
- Increase access to Education for vulnerable children and youth by providing educational resources, scholarships and mentorship programs
- Reduce poverty among vulnerable groups through skills development initiatives and sustainable community based projects.
- Improve mental health and emotional well-being through counseling services, mentorship and mental health awareness campaigns.
- Establish formal partnerships with both National and international organizations to enhance services delivery, resource mobilization and capacity building.
- Strengthen community engagement and participation to ensure local ownership, sustainability and greater impact of all initiatives.
- Increase economic empowerment opportunities for vulnerable women and youth through Vocational training, entrepreneurship support and micro-enterprise development.
